Denise is a Leadership Development Consultant specialising in the area of personal awareness and individual effectiveness.
Having started her career in business, over the past 25 years she has worked developing leaders and teams as a coach and a facilitator. Through her enthusiastic, versatile, and relaxed coaching style, Denise assists the individual, and/or the team, in exploring the deeper dynamics which impact on their effectiveness within their organisations. She is able to quickly understand clients and gain immediate trust, allowing them to feel challenged and supported. In doing so, she helps the individual provide a sense of who they are, a vision of the person they want to become, and most importantly creating a plan for professional development that can be quickly and effectively delivered upon.
Denise has worked extensively in the UK, Europe, Asia and North America, at all levels within organisations, in both the private and public sectors. Marks and Spencer, DFDS Seaways, NHS, Pepsico, Toyota, Ericcson, National Air Traffic Services, RBS, Sarah Lee and Jack Morton, are just some of the clients with which she has worked. Women in Leadership Programmes, with Linklaters and Ernst and Young, have allowed her knowledge in this area to be utilised fully.
Her expertise in Relational Behaviours was gained from her second degree in Integrative Counselling, and from her membership of the Association for Coaching, and Accredited membership of the BACP(Coaching Division). As an accredited trainer of the Penn Resiliency Programme, (University of Pennsylvania), she is able to support clients in maintaining their wellbeing, increasing their resilience when dealing with pressure and change.
After graduating from Leeds University with a degree in Geography, her business experience was gained as Head of Training and Development for Bosch, Career Development Manager at BMW, Training and Development Executive with Safeway Plc, and in Retail Management for Sainsbury’s.
Her role, for 18 years, as a Visiting Tutor at Cranfield University School of Management, ensures she keeps abreast of leading thinking in management development and current business trends. She also holds a Diploma in Training Management, a Certificate in Training and Development and is an accredited MBTI administrator.
